London, Feb 27 (ANI): Pete Doherty has confirmed plans to reform The Libertines after patching up with ex-bandmate Carl Barat.
The band split acrimoniously in 2004 due to Doherty’s drug addictions, he went on to form Babyshambles while Barat fronted the Dirty Pretty Things.
Doherty, who bagged the Best Solo Act gong at the NME Awards, spent much of the event talking to Barat.
And the pair used their time together at the bash to work out details of the group’s return.
“I’ve written and recorded a solo record. There’s probably another on the way,” the Sun quoted Doherty, as saying.
“There’s an amazing Babyshambles record on the way too and The Libertines is going to happen.
“I didn’t twist Carl’s arm too far. He doesn’t take kindly to it. He’s not harder than me, but he’s got a nasty streak. Twist it too far and it’ll snap,” he added.
Recently, Barat disbanded his post-Libertines band Dirty Pretty Things and refused to join forces with Doherty again until he sorted himself out.
However, he has now agreed to the reunion after much persuasion from Doherty.
“I hate working alone. It’s boring and I struggle with it. I do miss that support of being in a band,” Bart said. (ANI)

The authentic-looking document, which seems to have been scanned in, has an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences letterhead and what looks like the signature of the Academy’s president, Sid Ganis.
“This is the final list of winners of the 81st Annual Academy Awards. As always, please treat this information with extreme care,” News.com.au quoted the document, as stating.
According to the list, Kate Winslet has won best actress gong for ‘The Reader’ and Mickey Rourke has bagged best actor award for ‘The Wrestler’.

“PricewaterhouseCoopers is still counting the ballots and there are only two people there who will know the complete list of winners in advance of the envelopes being opened during the ceremony.
“The Academy’s president is not advised of the winners in advance and no such list is created,” Unger added. (ANI)
