Washington, March 6 (ANI): Hitting the clubs may be a common practice for Lady GaGa now, but the singer revealed she was no stranger to the hotspots even as a child.
The 22-year-old said, thanks to her ’super cool’ mum, she had been club-hopping in New York for performances since high school.
“I’ve been playing out in clubs since I was in high school, since I was fifteen my mum used to take me [because] I was too young to get in,” Fox News quoted her as telling Tarts.
“My mum was super cool. She’d help me sign up and perform and then when I got to college I started gigging, I would ride my bike around or walk to different clubs in New York on the Lower East Side and in the East Village.
“You’ve got to play clubs, you’ve got to do amazing, you’ve got to fail, you’ve got to get standing ovations and need to be booed off the stage,” she added.
The “Poker Face” further recalled being awestruck by the gossip blogger and self-professed Queen of all Media.
She added: “I was playing at Perez Hilton’s bash so I invited my girlfriends to come, they were so excited. It was for Perez Hilton, he’s a big celebrity.” (ANI)

Washington, Feb 21 (ANI): Hugh Hefner’s ex-girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson has said that she is trying to keep a low profile because she has been irritated by the prying media eye since her split with the Playboy Mogul, and the subsequent engagement with Hank Baskett.
The former ‘Girls Next Door’ star said that security scares and prying packs of paparazzi forced her out of the Hollywood heat.
Speaking at the Silverspoon Oscars House, the 23-year-old bride-to-be said that though she was excited for her June wedding with Baskett, she was trying to lay as low as possible.
“I’ve had to move to the Valley to get away from it. Being followed like that is really scary,” Fox News quoted her as saying.
However, many photo agencies have revealed that ever since Hefner’s three top girlfriends-Holly Madison, Wilkinson, Bridget Marquardt-have walked out on him, their picture value has dropped significantly.
But Kendra still sells the highest of them all.
On the other hand, the busty beauty has claimed that she has no regrets about leaving Playboy, and is the happiest she’s ever been.
She also said that her octogenarian ex, and the other two Palyboy bunnies, were still her “best friends.” (ANI)

Washington, Feb 13 (ANI): Singers Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Hudson have both bagged prizes at the 40th National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards in Los Angeles.
Beyonce, who opened the show with her song Halo, picked up the award for outstanding female artist and Oscar-winner Hudson won the outstanding new artist award, reports Contactmusic.
While accepting the award, the ‘Spotlight’ singer, who also walked away with the Best Album nod, said, “This is where we come from. So it’s always an honour to come home and feel welcome and to feel the love. I really cherish this and appreciate it.”
In the movie categories, Will Smith and Rosario Dawson were named Outstanding Actor and Actress, respectively, for their turns in ‘Seven Pounds’.
The event was hosted by actress Halle Berry and actor-screenwriter Tyler Perry.

Is Mahendra Singh Dhoni falling in Love? Not sure but he has a friend in her life and her name is Sakshi Singh Rawat. She is third year student of Hotel Management at IHM, Aurangabad.
Sakshi Singh Rawat recently finished her training at the front office at Taj Bengal, met MS Dhoni at the post-party of Race at Bipasha Basu’s house. Saksh She as a guest of John Abraham’s, a mutual friend.
The blogs are abuzz with quotes from people who have spotted the couple together. One entry says, “I saw Sakshi Singh Rawat hanging around with MS Dhoni on November 19 as it was her 21st birthday.” The entry further goes on to say that “the two are getting married after 2010.” and “all their friends know about it.”
In an interview with a TV channel, Sakshi’s elder sister, Abhilasha Bisht, a senior officer with the Uttaranchal Police confirmed that Dhoni is “great friends” with their family but added Sakshi’s marriage is a long way off since she is currently studying.

Washington, January 28 (ANI): American filmmakers Spike Lee and Tyler Perry have been nominated for the NAACP Image Awards.
They were leading the pack when the civil rights organisation announced the nominations in three directing categories on Tuesday.
Lee has been nominated for best motion picture director with Miracle of St. Anna.
Other strong contenders for the award are Perry (The Family That Preys), Darnell Martin (Cadillac Records), Gina Prince Bythewood (The Secret Life of Bees) and Patrik Ian Polk (Noah’s Arc: Jumping the Broom).
Kevin Sullivan has been nominated in the TV comedy category, in recognition of his work on hit series 30 Rock.
He will go up against Ali LeRoi (Everybody Hates Chris), Ken Whittingham (Entourage), Tracee Ellis Ross (Girlfriends) and Victor Nelli, Jr. (Ugly Betty).
Leading the TV drama shortlist is Heroes director Anthony Hemingway, reports Contactmusic.
He will battle it out with Eriq LaSalle (Law and Order: SVU), Ernest DICkerson, (Lincoln Heights), Paris Barclay (In Treatment) and Seth Mann (The Wire).
The winners will be announced on February 12, when the 40th NAACP Image Awards ceremony take place in Los Angeles. (ANI)

Washington, January 27 (ANI): Penelope Cruz was dragged out of bed by pal Salma Hayek, who later propped her up in front of a TV to watch the Oscar nominations.
The stunning Spanish actress nearly missed seeing herself nominated for an Best Supporting Actress Academy Award, after she arrived late night at Hayek’s LA pad for a sleep over.
“I had just arrived to Los Angeles very, very late at night, and I had went to sleep (sic),” Contactmusic quoted her as telling Us magazine.
“Four hours later, I was at the house of some of my girlfriends, and they woke me up. Actually, it was Salma Hayek. She woke me up and said, ‘We have to watch it live!’ I said, ‘That’s such a big risk!’” she added.
And after she saw her Oscar nomination for her role in Woody Allen’s film ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’, she added: “We watched and then I heard the news – everything goes so fast!
“An hour later, you have to start doing all these interviews and then you spend all day working. I haven’t had the time yet to digest or understand it.” (ANI)

New York, Jan 24 (ANI): Sir Paul McCartney’s ex-wife Heather Mills, who lives in the West Village, has revealed that men are always chasing after her.
Mills says that Manhattan men are always attracted to her despite her more stunning girlfriends being around.
“I’ve got so many stunning girlfriends who can’t get a boyfriend,” the New York Post quoted her as saying.
“But when I go out here, I get asked out all the time, and my girlfriends – who are better looking than me – say, ‘How the hell does that happen?!’
“Maybe it’s because I’m comfortable with myself,” she added. (ANI)
